Kim Kardashian hit Time’s 100 Gala on Tuesday evening doing what she does best—looking gorgeous.
The reality star, who was honored at the event along with husband Kanye West, took a more demure approach to her beauty routine, which—believe it or not—won’t take hours to recreate.RELATED: How Kim Kardashian’s Hair Stays Unbelievably Shiny Even After Going Blonde and Back
First, makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic gave the star a classic smoky eye, which he softened with a hint of gold shimmer. “I mixed the two shades from the Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Jubilation ($45; sephora.com) and applied along the lower lash line with a wet brush to intensify the gold a bit,” he tells InStyle. Next, he enhanced those envy-inducing eyebrows. “I filled her brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown ($21; sephora.com) and set them with the Clear Brow Gel ($21; sephora.com),” he adds. After an application of Ardell’s Individual Lashes ($4; ulta.com, which happens to be one of our 2015 Best Beauty Buy winners), he completed her eyes with two coats of volumizing mascara.
Of course, no look would be complete without that famous Kardashian glow. “I used Tom Ford Cheek Color Blush in Love Lust ($57; nordstrom.com) along the apples of the cheeks and to highlight I used Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and Glow ($68; nordstrom.com) along the cheek bones, bridge of the nose and cupid's bow,” he says. To score her nude lip, he swiped on Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Dainty ($16; macys.com).
As for achieving that super sleek ponytail, hairstylist Michael Silva prepped wet hair with Shu Uemura Ample Angora Mousse ($38; shuuemuraartofhair.com), and then worked in Kérastase Touche Finale Serum ($28; drugstore.com) throughout the star’s strands to ensure loads of shine and zero frizz. “I blow dried her hair section by section and flat ironed it,” he says. “Then I created a center part and secured it into a low ponytail." To finish, he wrapped some hair around the base for a final touch of polish.
