Katie Holmes's latest outfit is working overtime to introduce a nostalgic staple to a new Gen Z-approved trend. On Tuesday, Holmes went for a stroll in New York City wearing a staple denim silhouette from the '90s: JNCO-esque jeans.
She paired the ultra-baggy, pleated trousers with a white tee and a cream, ultra-cropped sweater which was cut off below her collarbone. Super-flat black loafers and a rust-colored leather Chloé crossbody bag completed the look. Holmes wore a white face mask and piled her hair on top of her head in a messy bun.
The fashion icon recently debuted a new nose ring further proving her eternal cool-girl status. After stepping out in a casually chic look, Holmes slipped into a black YSL suit with a relaxed, oversized double-breasted blazer and matching pants. Black-and-white zebra-printed St. Laurent pumps accompanied the look that she wore to the Santa Margherita Rosé launch in the West Village.
Last week, Holmes attended the preview of the Kate Spade fall collection in New York, where she wore a bright yellow, floral-printed sundress with a lightweight cardigan. She told us a portable sweater is her go-to. "My favorite thing about this collection is all of the creative layering, and for spring I always carry one of these in my bag," she said, referencing her ivory shrug.
